TROUBLESHOOTING Unable
to get Gold Star CD-ROM to work under Windows
NT
The GCD-R320B, GCD- R400B, and GCD-R420B are not supported under Windows NT. All other
CD-ROM drives should work providing that you are using the dual PCI IDE CD-ROM ATAPI 1.2
driver listed in the SCSI adapters section of NT.
I am unable to get my Gold Star CD-ROM to slave off of a Conner Hard Drive
Conner Hard Drives used a different
architecture for operation. It is a good possibility that it will not support the ATAPI
device as slave.
My Gold Star CD-ROM drive is randomly reading
Some of the Gold Star CD-ROM drives have issues with the
Firmware and it is recommended that you update the Firmware on
your CD-ROM drive, if available. Firmware updates can be found on
our CD-ROM driver page.
