| TROUBLESHOOTING I have a S3 Chip but how do I know which card it is?
S3 Incorporated does not actually manufacturer
graphic cards or video cards. S3 Incorporated actually supplies graphics accelerator
chips, BIOS source code, and generic reference drivers. Therefore, if you have a S3 chipset,
it is recommended that you attempt first to obtain updated drivers / information about the
product through the manufacturer of your video card / computer. S3 does supply a generic
set of drivers on the Drivers page;
however, these drivers are in no way guaranteed by S3 Incorporated.
S3 also offers S3ID
utility which helps to determine which Video Chipset you may have.
Running Hexen II in Full Screen
During game play, if attempting
to make the screen full size, your computer freezes up; instead of changing the video mode
during game play, get to the main menu of Hexen II and change the Video options through
it.
Running Doom 95
When attempting to run Doom 95
with the S3 968 you will encounter several issues. Currently no known resolution, if any.
