TROUBLESHOOTING Western
Digital Video Chipset
Paradise/Western Digital manufactured many graphic controller chips that are used in
various manufacturer computers. However, because the drivers are manufactured
by various
computer manufacturers, it is highly recommended that you get the drivers from the computer
manufacturer. If your computer manufacturer does not supply these drivers, you can find
drivers on our video card driver page for WD90C00,
WD90C11, WD90C20, WD90C24, WD90C26, WD90C30, WD90C31, and WD90C33 chipsets. However,
Paradise will not provide support, nor guarantee any of the drivers found on the above
page.
How can I fix the conflict between my keyboard (IRQ 1) and the Pipeline64 (WD
9710) video card?
To resolve this issue you must obtain the
file 9710CHK.EXE. Once you have extracted this file onto your hard drive, add
C:\9710CHK.EXE at the beginning of your autoexec.bat.
Windows 95 is reporting error code 15 (or 22) and "Display adapter is
disabled" with my Pipeline 64 (WD 9710) video card.
This is another affect of the conflict with the video card and the keyboard controller
(IRQ 1). See above notes on resolving this issue.
Not able to run an application because it requires 256 colors and I'm running
in 16 colors.
Download the latest driver.
