CD-ROM software no longer works after adding hard drive.

Issue:

CD-ROM software no longer works after adding hard drive.

Cause:

Microsoft operating systems and many other types of operating systems automatically move the letter of the drive to the last drive letter.

Solution:

If a CD-ROM program fails to work after installing a new disk drive it is recommended that you reinstall the program to reinitialize any initialization files and/or shortcut files that point to the old drive letter.
