Issue:

Missing Country Code in dialing properties for Windows 95.

Solution:

To resolve this issue you must follow the below steps.

1. Exit to MS-DOS by clicking Start / Shutdown / Restart the computer in MS-DOS mode
   Type cd\windows\system <press enter>
   Once at C:\Windows\System type:
   
   ren tapi.dll tapi.ch <press enter>
   ren tapi32.dll tapi32.ch <press enter>
   ren tapiaddr.dll tapiaddr.ch <press enter>
   ren tapiexe.exe tapiexe.ch <press enter>
   
   
2. Once the above files have been renamed, extract the below files from the Win95_11.cab off of the Windows 95 CD to the C:\Windows\System directory.
3. Once the above files have been extracted, type cd\windows to get to the C:\Windows directory and type in the below command and then reboot the computer.
   
   del telephon.ini <press enter>
   
   
4. Once back in Windows click Start / Run, type tapiini.exe and click ok. Once all of these steps have been completed successfully, you will be able to select your country code.
