Issue:

Decrease time used to log onto Internet with modem.

Cause:

When connecting to the Internet VIA a modem with a Dialup connection, by default it will check for additional settings which generally are never needed.

Solution:

  1. Double-click My Computer and double-click Dial-up Network icon.
  2. right-click the Internet Dial-up networking icon you wish to log in faster and click the properties option.
  3. Click the Server Types tab and uncheck the below options.
  • Log on to network
  • NetBEUI
  • IPX/SPX Compatible
