Will Windows 95/98 software work for Windows ME?

Answer:

Windows ME is an upgrade to Windows 9x and so the majority of software for Windows 9x (95/98) will work with Windows ME. We say 'majority' because software such as a virus protection program or any other type of utility designed for Windows 9x will more than likely NOT work (or work well) in Windows ME as the file structure and configuration files change slightly. However, games, programs and other software will work in Windows ME. Generally, if the software does not work, it should have an update allowing it to work.
