DVD movie stops or goes black.

Issue:

DVD movie stops or goes black.

Cause:

This issue can be caused by any of the below possibilities.

1. Power Management enabled
2. Screen Saver

Solution:

Power Management enabled

Verify that  power management is disabled. Because there will be no activity on the computer for a great length of time, it is possible that the DVD movie may stop, screen may go black or an error may occur.

Screen Saver

Verify that all screen savers are temporarily disabled. Because the computer will be inactive during the movie, it is possible that a screen saver will run during the movie causing errors, cause the movie to stop or for the screen to go black.
