After reinstalling Windows 98, DVD no longer works.

Issue:

After reinstalling Microsoft Windows 98, DVD no longer works.

Cause:

This issue is generally caused when DVD related files are overwritten or removed by Windows 98. 

Solution:

If you do not utilize the Windows 98 DVD player it is recommended that the DVD software used to play DVDs be reinstalled.
