Disable "Do you
want to disconnect from the Internet" prompt.
Issue:Disable "Do you want to disconnect from the Internet"
prompt.
Cause:This issue is caused when "Disconnect when connection may no
longer be needed," option enabled.
Solution:To disable this feature, follow the below instructions for your operating system and/or Internet Explorer browser.
Windows ME Users
- Open Control Panel - by clicking Start / Settings and clicking
Control Panel.
- Click the Connections tab.
- Double-click the Internet icon.
- Under Dial-up settings click properties
- Click the dialing tab
- Ensure that the option "Disconnect when connection may no
longer be needed" is unchecked if you do not wish to use
this feature or checked if you wish to enable this feature.
- Click ok until back into Control Panel.
Windows 98 users and/or Internet Explorer
5.x
- Open Control Panel - by clicking Start / Settings and clicking
Control Panel.
- Double-click the Internet Options icon.
- Click the Connections tab and then click the Settings button.
- In Settings click the Advanced button.
- In advanced, ensure that the option "Disconnect when
connection may no longer be needed" is unchecked if you do
not wish to use this feature or checked if you wish to enable
this feature.
- Click ok until back into Control Panel.
Windows 95 users and/or Internet Explorer
4.x
- Open Control Panel - by clicking Start / Settings and clicking
Control Panel.
- Double-click the Internet icon.
- Click the Connections tab and click the Settings button.
- Click the Connections tab and then click the Settings button
- Ensure that the option "Disconnect when connection may no
longer be needed" is unchecked if you do not wish to use
this feature or checked if you wish to enable this feature.
- Click ok until back into Control Panel.
