How can I record Internet radio stations?

Question:

How can I record Internet radio stations?

Answer:

There are several software programs available that allow a user to record and save his or her favorite radio stations or streaming audio to their hard disk drive. A program we often use and recommend is RipCast from Xoteck, available in a free version and non-free version RipCast can record stations such as any Shoutcast radio stream and save each song automatically to MP3 file format.

Below is also a short list of other third-party software solutions to record streaming audio or Internet radio stations.
