Is it possible to have two master EIDE / IDE drives?

Question:

Is it possible to have two master EIDE / IDE drives?

Answer:

It is possible to have two or more master hard disk drives, CD-ROM drives, and/or other EIDE / IDE disk drives in one computer. However, per channel or per cable only one master drive can be connected. All other drives on the same cable must have their jumpers set to slave or cable select.

Computers with an EIDE / IDE controller will have two connection points, which means two different masters and two slaves for a total of four different drives.
