Adding the Desktop icon back into Windows Quick Launch.

Answer:

1. Click Start and in the Run box type: notepad and press enter.
2. Copy and paste the below text into notepad.
   
   [Shell]
   Command=2
   IconFile=explorer.exe,3
   [Taskbar]
   Command=ToggleDesktop
    
3. Save the file as desktop.scf
4. Once this file has been saved, you can place this shortcut in your Quick Launch bar or anywhere on your computer.  Then, by double clicking the shortcut, this will immediately take you back to the Windows Desktop whenever you need to.
