Adding the Desktop icon back into Windows Quick Launch.

Answer:

  1. Click Start and in the Run box type: notepad and press enter.
  2. Copy and paste the below text into notepad.

    [Shell]
    Command=2
    IconFile=explorer.exe,3
    [Taskbar]
    Command=ToggleDesktop
     
  3. Save the file as desktop.scf
  4. Once this file has been saved you can place this shortcut in your Quick Launch bar or anywhere on your computer to quickly get back to the Windows Desktop by double-clicking the icon.
