My jumpers don't have any pins, only solder beads.
Question:My jumpers don't have any pins, only solder beads.
Answer:Older computers may only have solder beads, not pins or dip switches. Generally, this is found when attempting to clear passwords on older computers. To jump this type of setup, obtain a flathead screwdriver and place it so it connects the two solder beads. While continuing to hold the screwdriver, turn on the computer. This should jump the two beads and perform the proper action of the jumper. Once successful, turn off the computer and remove the screwdriver.
Note: DO NOT remove the screwdriver while the computer is on.
