Absolute location

  1. A description of the exact location on an object, commonly on a grid.
  2. When referring to a map or the Earth's surface an absolute location is the latitude and longitude of a location. Using a GPS a person could find their absolute location on earth or using a software program such as Google Earth will also allow someone to find a relatively accurate absolute location.
