DWM

Formerly known as Desktop Compositing Engine or DCE, Desktop Window Manager or DWM is what enables Windows Aero and Windows visual themes that was first introduced with Windows Vista and found with all later versions of Windows.

To use Windows DWM your video card must have the below features.

  1. A Video card GPU that supports WDDM
  2. DirectX 9 support
  3. Pixel Shader 2.0 support
  4. 32-bit per pixel support
