MIB

1. Short for Management Information Base, MIB is a database of objects that can be monitored by a network management system (NMS). Each MIB is identified by an Object Identifier (OID) and is a commonly an integer or string value that defines a network device setting and/or status.
2. A Mib is also short for Mebibit.
3. A MiB is also short for Mebibyte.
