Oversharenting, or sharenting, is a term created by combining the words oversharing and parenting. Oversharenting describes parents who put too much information about their children on social networks. An example of oversharenting is a parent who posts an excessive number of stories, pictures, or other child details on social media platforms (e.g., Facebook or Instagram).
