Short for Recording
Industry Association of America, RIAA is a trade group that was
first established in 1952
that has been setup to
represent the U.S. recording industry. The RIAA became more well
known to the computer industry and users after several lawsuits
against users who were downloading sounds illegally over the
Internet.
