SANE

1. Short for Standard Apple Numeric Environment, SANE is an older Apple Macintosh graphic calculator and arithmetic feature, new Apple computers now utilize the PowerPC Numerics utility to perform arithmetic and calculator functions.
2. Short for Scanner Access Now Easy, SANE is a public domain API that allows computers to access computer scanners, cameras, etc.
