1. New Computer Term.
USB (http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/u/usb.htm) -
Short for Universal Serial BUS, USB is a standard that
started in 1995 by Intel, Compaq, Microsoft and several
other IT computer companies. USB began being found in
computers as early as 1996 and by 1997 became a popular and
widespread with the release of Intel's 440LX chipset. USB
1.x is a External
BUS standard that supports data transfer
rates of 12 Million bits per second. A single USB device is
capable of supporting up to 127 peripheral devices using
both isochronous and asynchronous data transfers.

* Security:
- Microsoft Exchange patch leads to mail problems
- Microsoft patches Mac Word for RTF security risk
- Revenge hacking on the rise
- Security Holes plugged in Yahoo! mail, Hotmail
* Privacy: Whagent, a utility created by the WebHancer
company is currently installed on over seven million
computers and is used to
collect information about a user
while browsing the Internet.
This utility is generally installed without users
acknowledgement on several Internet utilities as well
as various P2P or file sharing programs such as Audio Galaxy.
Computer Hope considers the above to be a invasion of
privacy regardless of what information is shared.

example of new switches:

h\* = Hardware only search.
s\* = Software only search.
f\* = File or driver only search.
Below is an example of how these features could be used:
d\*CRT = Would display the pages with a definition for CRT.
i\*modem dial up network = Would display any issue currently
listed in Computer Hopes online database containing issues
relating to the modem and dial up networking.
- Corrected various bad links and errors on web site.
- Added additional companies to company listing.
- Updated search engine database.
