Windows NT error codes

Below is a listing of various error codes that you may get during the Windows NT setup or while running Windows NT setup, and what you can do to attempt to resolve these error codes.

ERROR 0000001E: This is commonly an indication of a hardware or file system failure. To correct this problem, first attempt to run chkdsk from the command prompt to check the hard drive for any errors. Also ensure that all your peripherals, including the CD-ROM drive, the SCSI hard drive, and the SCSI card, are on the list of supported hardware.

ERROR 0X00000069 / 0X00000067: Indication that Windows NT cannot communicate with the hard drive controller. First, if you are running a SCSI hard drive, ensure that it is properly setup, terminated, and supported. Ensure that the hard disk controller does not have the same IRQ as any other device in your system. This can be determined, if you have MSD, by typing MSD from the command prompt. Run NTDETECT.COM from the root directory of the hard drive to ensure that all hard drives are being detected properly. Ensure that you did not inadvertently erase any of the Windows NT system files.
