Inventec
Founded in 1975, Inventec is a Taiwan-based ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) making mobile devices, notebook computers, and servers. Originally, it developed and manufactured electronic calculators. Today, major customers include Acer, Fujitsu-Siemens, Hewlett-Packard, and Toshiba.
Inventec Corporation has manufacturing and development facilities in China and is one of China's largest exporters. The company opened its first development center in China in 1991 and its first manufacturing facility in Shanghai in 1995. Additionally, the company has configuration and service centers in the United States, Europe, and Mexico.
Inventec has a workforce of over 23,000 employees, including over 3,000 engineers. It is a partial owner of Japan-based mini-notebook brand and vendor Kohjinsha (KJS).
