Aol issues with Netgear
« on: July 04, 2005, 10:09:06 AM »
Ok, well flame and some other helpers from Computer hope might remeber me posting about my Netgear DG834G, anyway i now have the problem solved (after much hair less :s ). Anyway i thought other people after my incident could learn from this, so here goes. If you have a wireless Netgear DG834G, run AOL and have connection issues that end up in you getting randomly disconnected the chances are it your AOL. We took our pc to a specialist and as soon as we said AOL he groaned. He told us that he had fitted many DG834G's and had many issues with them and AOL. However we are still on AOL as an isp but use IE for the browsing. As soon as we connect to AOL it disconnects. We will soon be changing ISP!!!
I hope i have been of some use to other people who have the same issue.
                Thanks, chris!!!!

the best option.....you are on broardband /cable asl/ is to .........not use the isp install disk.......all you need is to manually config the net connections.....and your user name .....password......by passing the isp install disk....
so you dont end up with all the trash that comes with it??

Lol, i can understand. But the worst thing of all was the fact that we called and contacted them over 5 times about this issue, and they never mentioned the fact that their company actually sucks. They sent us 5 diiferent emails to help us, and they did nothing at all!!!

I tpyed in AOL sucks on google and it turns out AOL arnt the most popular people on the web!!! LOL!! ;)
