I want to over clock my computer safely
    « on: July 17, 2010, 01:56:40 AM »
I do not know what to do though. I got about 6 fans inside my computer as we speak right now so I feel it is safe to over clock but I do not know how to tune my computer to do so. I just want to do my video card so I can play wow and lol on much better graphics and speeds.

As many people here will tell you (and I tend to agree), there is no real safe way to overclock.

The, quote, "safest", way to overclock is to dish out the money to have a store that offers overclocking services, such as Micro Center, overclock the computer for you.

However, in some cases it is probably more economically sound to  purchase better hardware because overclocking WILL reduce the lifespan of your hardware.

I realize this probably isn't what you wanted to hear, but it's the best I have for you as I do not personally overclock.
This is why we can't have nice things.

To do the ultimate overclock, go find an old fridge that still works.
Put you system inside the fridge. Keep the temperature at about 33  F  and then try try overclocking.

Must...resist...temptation...to put old computer parts in the fridge.
It may not work, but it sounds like fun.  :)
