quick time player uninstall
« on: September 13, 2004, 01:00:33 PM »
When uninstalling QTP, it asks me if I want to 'Uninstall Everything' which includes 'systems extensions.'
If I choose this option it says it may cause some applications to malfuntion and that this option is not recommended. Do I need to do this to get rid of all the garbage?  I wonder if anyone else has ever experienced this.  I just want to be sure I don't create more problems. This warning has me a bit wary.

I did it when I uninstalled QT.  Take that as what you will.

More programs show that kind of warning. I usually ignore them and remove the files. You may wish to backup the files before you allow them to be removed before continuing.

Did they teach you to doubt a Raptor in school?  ;D

It's all Joleens fault, that was obvious, aye?

Anyhow, if you want another answer; unless the files are used by another program and you know they are, donot remove them. If not, create backups if you want 100% certainty and then remove them.
