Hello; I'am new to this forum,so forgive me if I make
a few mistakes...

In the last two weeks whenever I try to download a program I get
an error message that reads " Must have Admin Privilege" I have
never assigned a administrater because the comp is only use by
me.  I have my anti-virus and spywear turned on.

My system  HPmedia center 2005, IE 7, Winxpsp2.
Thanks for any help.

What are you trying to download specifically? Do you have a login when Windows starts? Are you the original owner of the PC? What virus and spyware protection? Have ytou tried a syustem restore to a point before this started? Anything else unusual?

I'am trying to download Mcafee SiteAdvisor, also I'am the only
owner"bought it new". No password logon, I havent tried a
system restore yet. I also tried to update my adobe reader and
received the same error message.

Mcafee antivirus , webroot spychecker, zonealarm firewall.

Thanks

After some trouble shooting, found that my Temp internet folder was
corrupt, have no idea how this happened. but took your advise
and restored back to a date when every thing was O.K. and it
solved the problem.

Thanks
