Reset your Internet settings to their default status.

Follow these steps:

1. Go to Start
2. Configuration
3. Control Panel
4. Internet Options
5. Click on the Advanced tab.
6. Click on the 'Default settings' button.

thanks guys  I got it working now. I went to the IE support community and found people were having the same problem ,unable to open links etc. Anyway somone suggested click start, then run, then type in regsvr32 urlmon.dll ,and click ok. if you get a message suceeded click ok. well it worked. thanks again.
