In case the fan for cooling of processor fails to operate adn it is urgent to work for few hours, then is it okay if the cover of the CPU is opened and the room temperature is maintained between 20 - 25 degree celcius?

you really need the cpu fan to work......as it cools the cpu via the heatsnk......leaving the case side will not do much.....?ambient.....temp.....try cleaning the fan......

Only if you wish to damage vital computer components beyond repair.
