    Can anyone recomend a freeware download of software so I can copy some data CDs?

    I use Windows XP Pro

      Try looking on www.cnet.com  or  www.tucows.com  Both have shareware and freeware

        Thanks for suggestions. Problem solved. Will download computeractive one as soon as broadband parcel arrives and it's on line. (Be a bit quicker than this 41.2Kbps) Would have reply quicker but life in non virtual world kept me off line!

        You don't need to download any program to burn CD s.   You can do it with Windows Explorer.  CD Burning Becomes Routine in Windows XP

        I guess my first experience of CD burning was a Linux command line tool with a gazillion different options.  Microsoft's offering gives you a pretty wizard.  Don't trust it!  ;D

          It will be a longer wait than I thought for broadband. After Orange telling me I would have the parcel within 5 working days and be on line within another 5 days, they telephone to say the whole thing is put back two weeks "due to high demand". Why are they still advertising then?
