links won't work in IE6

Help-- No links will work for me!  A new page opens, but the address bar is blank.  Sometimes I can copy and paste, but even clicking 'open in new window' won't work.  I've run my anti-virus, ad-aware and spybot, but it didn't help.  I also ran the program to repair ie6-didn't work either.  Can anyone help or give me a suggestion?

Check that your firewall isn't blocking your browser

Set your advanced settings to "Default" in Internet Explorer options.

Start -> Settings -> Configuration -> Internet Options -> Advanced tab

Or

Extra (Tools?) -> Internet Options -> Advanced tab

Perhaps a browser such as Mozilla Firefox is a good alternative.

OK.  I'm tired of all this crap with IE6.  I'm downloading firefox as I type.  I've never tried an alternative browser, so I'm a little nervous.  Thanks for the advice.

Go to the News section on this forum, I have posted an article related to Mozilla Firefox.

There is nothing to be nervous about, as Firefox will not be used as a standard browser unless you configure it to.
