Yes, generally PCI-E is a better interface for video cards, where is your current graphics card located? Is it in a PCI slot?
        System specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (up to 3.3 stock V and air)
        ASUS Striker Extreme
        XFX 8600GT XXX Edition
        2x 1gB Corsair XMS2 DDR2-800
        Seagate Barracuda 320gB SATA

Will this work in my computer
        http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=019&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=290123315878&rd=1&rd=1
        Thanks
If you do have PCI-E slots, yes, that card will work fine and will give you good performance.

Different games rely more on different components.
        Answer this please.

As others have said, the GPU is the best component to upgrade here.
Not only is it by far the weakest component, you will find it hard to get a better CPU than that.

You need a half-height graphics card, but you do have PCI-E.

            What's a 'half-height graphics card'.
It's not in your graphics card page.

Half-height graphics cards are not explained, you are correct.
That's because they're not all that common.
It means you have to get a special card that is half the height of a normal one.
Therefore, although that card is a great deal even for eBay (assuming it works) it is not perfect for your PC.
            Sorry.
Edit: a quick search reveals they are more commonly referred to as low profile cards.  If you search for any, try both half heigh and low profile.

Can't I just take out the old graphics card, and get rid of it.
Then put in the new one.
Even if it doesn't work I could always sell it for more than I bought it for.

So there's no way I can get this graphics card to work in my PC.
                No way at all.
Chances like this don't just happen(finding the graphics card), the Lord, fate, they found me the graphics card.

So I will find a way (My mum's computer is broken and a computer man is coming round so he's going to actually see the whole inside of my Computer.)

So until then I'll still believe that it'll work in my computer

It will not fit, it makes no difference if you believe it will or not.
This "computer man" will charge you money to say exactly what I've told you, or will find you a low profile card.
I have seen the inside of your computer, as would you if you even tried helping yourself with Google.

I will repeat this one last time.
You need a low profile/half height graphics card.
A normal size one will not work.
You can either buy a special card or a new case.
A new case is not a good solution as everything will likely be non standard sizes, being a small PC and a Dell.
I am not making this up.

What is a good mother board then, (to use that graphics card)
Or do I have bye a bigger case.
Because this half height thing doesn't make any sense.

The picture of the inside of my PC was only the tiny bit that I needed to show.
My computer is as big as my 19 inch  screen (just under 1cm smaller.) And it's about 11cm wide.
                  It's not really that small
So why can't this card fit in my computer.
