Red x in IE7 Outlook

Since upgrading to IE7, I get red x's instead of text.  When I  double click on a red x, nothing happens.

Hmm, I've often heard of red x's appearing where images should appear, but not text.  Do you really mean text?  Do you see images on web pages?

if it is for all webpages...

Tools>internet options...>advanced(tab)>multimedia(scroll down to it)

Make sure all of the boxes are ticked
