How to use the Ctrl+,
To use this keyboard shortcut, press and hold either Ctrl key, and while continuing to hold, press the , (comma) key.
Ctrl+< in Microsoft Word
Highlighting any text in Microsoft Word and pressing Ctrl+< decreases its font size.
Tip
If this shortcut doesn't work in your text program, try Ctrl+Shift+<.
Ctrl+, in Google Docs
Highlighting any text in Google Docs and pressing Ctrl+, subscripts the highlighted text.
