Diskette drive

A diskette drive describes a floppy disk drive. Commonly the A: or B: drive on IBM compatible computers; this drive allows users to read and write information to floppy disk drives.
Note
When describing an optical disc, for example, a CD (Compact Disc) or DVD (Digital Versatile Disc), it's a disc drive (not disk drive).
