Flood

A flood may refer to any of the following:

1. With computers, networks, software, a flood is any information or data overflow that causes other users grief or causes other computers, hardware, or software to fail. For example, with a Denial of Service (DoS) attack, millions of invalid packets are sent to a network or server, causing it to slow down or fail.

2. Flood is another name for chat or forum spam.
