Let's Encrypt
Updated: 09/17/2024 by Computer Hope

Let's Encrypt is a certificate authority that provides TLS/SSL certificates free of charge. The certificates expire after 90 days, but can be renewed any time for free. The non-profit organization was created to make it possible for anyone to serve a website over HTTPS. Let's Encrypt provides an API (Application Programming Interface) that automates certificate creation as part of software installation on a server.
