Malware dropper
Updated: 09/17/2024 by Computer Hope
A dropper, or malware dropper, is one or two stage program created to insert malicious code onto a computer. The malware code is usually embedded in the dropper in such a way that it avoids detection by virus scanning software. A one stage program executes automatically, whereas a two stage program requires the user to activate it, by clicking a link or opening a file.
