Nerd

A nerd is an individual obsessed with a subject or concept. Stereotypically, they like science, math, or technology and commonly possess poor social skills. They are often depicted wearing taped or thick-rimmed glasses like those shown to the right. While nerds share some similarities, geeks and hackers contain alternate definitions.

What is a turbo nerd?

A turbo nerd is slang for a person who's nerdy to the point of obsession. For example, with computers, a "geek" has a good understanding of computers, and a nerd (e.g., technician) knows a lot about computers. A computer turbo nerd would think about computers daily and could be considered the king or queen of computer nerds.

How do I become a nerd?

A nerd would not know they're a nerd. To become someone who knows a lot about a particular topic (e.g., computers), you most likely want to be a geek and not a nerd.
