One UI
Updated: 10/03/2024 by Computer Hope
Released in 2018, One UI (User Interface) is a proprietary version of Android for smartphones developed by Samsung. Additions to the Android operating system include the following:
- An adaptive icon theme that adds rounded corners to app shortcuts.
- Customizable gestures to reach more areas of the screen with one hand.
- Proprietary widgets only available to Samsung One UI users.
One UI is adapted from Google's open-source release, the Android Open Source Project. When One UI was released, it replaced Samsung's previous versions of Android (Samsung Experience and TouchWiz).
