Portable computer

A portable computer is a computer capable of being readily moved. While most desktop computers today can be moved with a bit of effort, this term describes a laptop or palmtop computers. The first portable computer is considered to be the IBM 5100. The advantages of a portable computer are that they are lightweight and can be taken with you.
