Static

Static may refer to any of the following:

1. Static is another term for constant. For example, many web pages are static HTML (HyperText Markup Language) web pages, meaning none of the content displayed was generated by other code or a script. Static pages do not change unless the creator manually changes the file, which looks identical to all visitors.

2. Static is an electrical discharge. See our ESD (ElectroStatic Discharge) page for further information about a static discharge, aka ESD, and the potential dangers it can cause to a computer or electronics.
