Copying floppy to floppy.

Answer:

Use the MS-DOS diskcopy command by following the below steps.

  1. Get to a MS-DOS prompt or the Windows command line. Additional information about how to get to the prompt can be found on document CHDOS.
  2. Once at the prompt insert the floppy diskette you wish to make a copy of and type the below command.

    diskcopy a:

Once you have typed the above command and pressed enter, you should be asked for the source diskette that is already in the drive. After it has started copying the information it will ask for a destination, insert the disk you wish to copy the information on to. The process of switching between the source and destination disk may happen several times depending on the amount of data on the diskette.
