Issue:

How to set the resolution or change the resolution/adapter in Windows 3.x

Cause:

Setting the resolution or not having the correct display adapter in Windows 3.x can cause video issues.

Solution:

  1. Get to a MS-DOS prompt.
  2. From the MS-DOS prompt type "cd\windows" and press enter.
  3. You should now be at C:\Windows> from this prompt type setup.
  4. From this menu you can Setup the video by selecting video from the menu.
