I need mouse drivers.

Question:

I need mouse drivers.

Answer:

Today's Operating Systems no longer require drivers for standard mouse interoperability. Therefore, if your computer has a standard one or two button mouse and you are using an Operating System developed within the last 3 years, you should not need to install any drivers and it is very unlikely that your mouse will have any driver updates available.

  • Users who need to get their mouse to work in MS-DOS please see document CH00007
  • Users who are using a USB mouse, trackball mouse, a mouse with more than two buttons, or a mouse with the wheel, please visit your mouse manufacturer's page for a listing of available drivers or software programs that enable your mouse to fully work.

Information about installing a computer mouse can also be found on document CH000448.
