Remove the clipboard toolbar feature from Microsoft Office 2000 programs.

Additional information:

This document applies to the clipboard toolbar feature in Microsoft Office 2000 programs: Microsoft Word 2000, Microsoft Outlook 2000, Microsoft Excel 2000, and Microsoft PowerPoint 2000. The Microsoft Office clipboard toolbar (if not already displayed on the toolbar) is displayed by either pressing CTRL+C twice or any type you copy multiple items into the clipboard.

Answer:

In order to disable this feature from all of Microsoft Office, you must edit the registry. 

  1. Close all Microsoft Office programs.
  2. Click Start, Run, and type "regedit" and click ok to Open the Windows registry editor.
  3. Open the below folders:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\
    Software\
    Microsoft\
    Office\
    9.0\
    Common\
    General\

  4. Once in the General folder click Edit from the drop-down-menu, click New and then DWORD Value.
  5. For the name of the new DWORD, type: Acbcontrol
  6. Double-click Acbcontrol to edit it and change the Value data to 1, and click Ok.
  7. Close the registry editor.

Once the above steps have been completed, your Office programs should no longer display the Microsoft Office clipboard toolbar.
