ADS may refer to any of the following:

From the hip aiming vs ADS aiming in Overwatch.

1. With gaming, ADS is short for aim down sights or aiming down sights. It describes when a player utilizes the sights of their character's gun to get a zoomed or more steady view of their target.

In most FPS (first-person shooter) games, a player can shoot from the hip, using the crosshair only, which speeds up the gun's rate of fire (spray and pray). Or, they can ADS, which is slower but more accurate, especially for distance shots. The picture shows Ana, an Overwatch character aiming from the hip and using ADS to scope in on Winston.

2. With advertising, ads is the plural form of the word "ad." See our advertising page for further information.
