LCD

Short for Liquid-Crystal Display, LCD is a flat display technology used in laptops, calculators and flat screen displays. LCD displays are available as an active matrix, dual-scan, or passive-matrix display. The picture to the right is an example of a Dell laptop computer with an LCD type of display.
