PTR may refer to any of the following:
1. PTR is short for Public Test Realm, a type of test server used by Blizzard Entertainment and other companies to test changes to their video games. A PTR server allows players to try out additions or changes to games and provide feedback to the game developers about bugs or other issues they encounter.
2. PTR is a type of DNS (domain name system) record, a pointer to a canonical name. A PTR is used when implementing a reverse DNS lookup and is defined by RFC 1035.
