Microsoft Windows 3.x

Tape Drive or Other Backup medium

If you are utilizing a tape drive or other backup medium that included software with the device, it is recommended that you use that software and not Microsoft Backup unless specified by the Backup medium manufacturer.

Microsoft Windows 95

Windows 3.x backups

Users who have backed up their pre-existing data in Windows 3.x cannot recover their data in Windows 95 utilizing its backup as these are two different versions of Microsoft Backup

Tape Drive or Other Backup medium

If you are utilizing a tape drive or other backup medium that included software with the device, it is recommended that you use that software and not Microsoft Backup unless specified by the Backup medium manufacturer.

Microsoft Windows 98

Tape Drive or Other Backup medium

If you are utilizing a tape drive or other backup medium that included software with the device, it is recommended that you use that software and not Microsoft Backup unless specified by the Backup medium manufacturer.

Installing Microsoft Backup

Click Start / Settings / Control Panel / double-click Add Remove Programs / click Windows Setup tab / double-click System tools and check the Microsoft Backup box.
